GMMK Pro Switch Plate

One of the best things about the GMMK Pro keyboard kit, is that it's completely customisable, and you can experiment with different switches, keycaps, stabilisers and knobs. Did you know that you can also change the switch plate to a different material?

The stock aluminium plate is high-quality and great for day-to-day use. But, what if you want something a little different?

The brass plate is rigid, and resonant. In general, it has a slightly louder, higher-pitched sound, and a firmer feel than aluminium. You may find that tactile switches work particularly well with brass plates, as you can more easily feel the tactile profile of the switch thanks to the rigidity of the plate.

The polycarbonate plate is flexible, and generates more of a 'thocky', slightly muted, typing sound. It's often the case that polycarbonate plates are preferred with linear switches.
